Slide shows made up of photos from April 13 (1st slide), April 30 (2nd slide), May 7, 2024 (3rd slide) and May 15, 2024 (4th slide). All other photos taken on May 15, 2024.
Keeping on with the spring is coming…”eventually” theme, this post shows what a little rain and a lot of hard work can accomplish. We have not had much more rain since May 7, but it has worked its magic, things are greening up and my weeds are doing really well. Heck, I even have flowers now…dandelions are flowers, right?
Once the weekend wildfire smoke abated, I managed to get outside and do my yardwork. All beds edged and cultivated by long handled 3 prong hand cultivator to remove weeds and detritus. Then I figured, what the heck, I might as well cut and trim the lawn.
Rain has returned, with a little bit this morning and more tomorrow and Friday. Fingers crossed this happens
Below are the transformation slide shows.

My transplanted cranesbill geranium is doing fine and the poppies have now settled in on this side of the garden. Maybe that will fill the bare spot at long last.

yard art – the heart shines brightly and the chickadees are developing a nice patina. They will be moved soon to someplace we can see them
