Time to Get Going!

As most of my posts are time shifted, I thought I would interject a couple of more timely posts. At long last, we found the time to break out our trusty E-bikes and go for a spin around the town. The last time they had been ridden in earnest was December 16, 2023 during my father/son bike ride in Vancouver. They got extremely dirty during that process and I just packed them up in the car to get them home. Once there, I stuck them in the shed, realizing I would need to give them a good cleaning…some day. That happened about a week ago.

There was only a slight charge on the batteries, so we opted for a short ride around the city to see what was shaking. Turns out, quite a lot..

There is still a lot of grit on the streets, so we did our bests to keep to the multi use paths and all told rode 10.5 km (6 1/2 miles) in 50 minutes. Not earth shattering by any stretch of the imagination, but a good way to get our bike muscles (butt) in shape for the coming season.

Along the way, we paused to watch the waterbirds at play on the lakes and ponds. It was nice to be rolling along once more.
