    1. Glad you enjoyed this post Luisa. There are a lot of hours of darkness in Vancouver in December. The mist made them interesting. Thanks for reading. Allan

  2. Bummer about the COVID. Guess everything turned out ok, including these spectacular pictures. I think I could rather happily live in Vancouver. Happy Tuesday, Allan.

    1. Timing for the positive test could not have been much worse, but nobody else caught it and we were all back together before we had to head home. If money was no object, Vancouver would eb a nice place to live. Happy Tuesday Pat. Allan

  3. Thank you, Allan, for your update on the events in your world! Wonderful pictures of the city but living in a countryside is nicer, what with the fresh air, trees and greenery. Good to have a family, especially grandchildren, Allan.

    1. While we are always eager to visit Vancouver, especially to see family, we find it relieving to arrive back home in our small city, where it is much quieter and less crowded. Thanks for reading and commenting Joanna. Allan

  5. I could happily live in Vancouver despite the rain and fog.  You know, Vancouver City looks beautiful in all weather but you can’t beat the mysterious feeling fog creates! Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

  7. Those pictures are ethereally beautiful, Allan. I’m reminded of this Carl Sandberg poem that I think fits your photos rather well:

    The fog comes
    on little cat feet.

    It sits looking
    over harbor and city
    on silent haunches
    and then moves on.

  8. Love the misty shots at night from the balcony. How unfortunate about the positive COVID test though.

    1. It was kind of misty foretelling of what lay ahead. The Covid positive test was for sure a disappointment, but with all that was going on at the time, it was likely inevitable. It did change how we helped out. Thanks for reading Linda. Allan
